the POCHOTE slab has been ethically and sustainably harvested from a wind fallen giant who come to rest on the rain forest floor near a public road.

Pochote is a large Central American hardwood tree that grows from Mexico to Panama. It is a strong and durable wood with high durability and resistance to rot and decay, making it perfect for outdoor applications.

The logs obtained from fallen trees are sliced in to large log sections and processed in to natural, live edge slabs.  Cracks, checks and voids are stabilized with a resin filler prior to processing through giant planner with multiple passes through the drum sanders until fully flat &  smother to 150 grit
