A beautifully figured hardwood slab from the tropical almond tree found in the Costa Rican rain forest    This example was ethically sourced from a residential tree removal company and imported under FAIRE guidelines.   

Any checks, cracks or defects have been resin stabilized so that each slab can be surface planed and flat sanded to 150 grit.  The material has been acclimating to ambient conditions for at least 2 years.
