The locals, along the coast of Central America, have named it Cenizero, although it’s more commonly known as Monkey pod.  This material is known for dark browns stripes & hypnotic chatoyance resulting from the high silica content of their sandy soil.  Another benefit of growing along a tropical beach.

All slab wood has been kiln dried. Any checks, cracks or defects have been resin stabilized so that each slab can be surface planed and flat sanded to 150 grit.  The material has been acclimating to ambient conditions for at least 2 years.
